The first time I heard about the issue of adding one more year to the curriculum of Nursing and Education Courses
Here are the grounds for such disagreement:
- There are other ways to improve the quality of education here in our country without imposing the added struggles that come with another school year. We need not focus ONLY on tertiary education, not many students are deemed capable of attaining up to this level primarily because of financial concerns. Instead of an additional year in college, perhaps it is more appropriate to shore up the “weak primary and secondary levels of education”, more parents and students can meet the expense of these, and improving these is directly proportional to the enhancement of the students’ knowledge and skills.
- We are practical Homo sapiens, we need to graduate as early as possible because we will help our families and gain our personal needs.
- It is very expensive. What?.?Education is only for the upper classes!?! WTF! I thought we are experiencing an economic crisis.??????????
- Why not give Filipino teachers more benefits so that they will be inspired to teach and then give the “quality of education” to students. Why not improve the public school facilities and add more teachers. CHEd should shift their attention to public schools. Most public schools in our country need attention.
- Quality education starts at the four corners of a home. It starts at home but it is not limited therein. Learning has no boundaries. Education is better learned outside the classrooms so to speak. As my friend Johan “the great” once told me, do not ever let your academics interfere with your education.
- (Put your opinion here).
